We can't have christmas yet .......... there's still birthday's to come

No, I'm not really a humbug ........ or a scrooge, or even a last minute Christmas Shopper.

But there are still lots of birthday's to come in my family between now and then, and I sometimes feel they get overlooked.

So I decided that I needed a way to keep track of everything.

I also wanted ......... no needed .......... to try and enter the competition for Convention.

So combining these two things became my goal.  I also wanted to incorporate some of the amazing products that Stampin Up! has bought out in the last few months.

What, sorry I didn't quite hear that ........

Did you say "what new products?"

Well, there's the amazing thinlet card dies.  Circle and Label.

The very versatile Envelope Punch Board,

and of Course the lovely new stamp sets and accessories in the Autumn/Winter ideas book.

Not to mention all the yummy things on MDS.

So with this all in mind I set to work.

I made this fantastic box first.  Using the Island Indigo Textured Cardstock and the Soho Subway papers.

So that's somewhere to keep the cards, but how to sort them into the months,

Simple using the New "Morning Post Numbers" stamp set, I heat embossed the numbers onto Summer Startfruit card stock and used the Labels dies to mat and layer onto Crisp Canteloupe.

I made the pockets inside using the amazing Envelope Punch Board.  They were a dream to do, so each month now has it's own envelope folder.  The edges were all distressed using our distressing tool.

So thats the storage, but how to remember.  Simple a birthday book was the answer.
I love making memory books, so this is a bit different.  The cover is using Soho Subway and the co-ordinating ribbons, and papers, and our antique brads.

The side was printed on MDS,
As were the Inside Month and To/Date sections. These were then cut to size using the label thinlet card dies.

The pages were also made from the label thinlet card dies.

They were stamped in versamark and heat embossed.  The centres were stamped in the colours in the Soho Subway papers again.

So there you have it.  My entry into the competition and somewhere to store all my cards.

Unfortunately as I sent this one to Stampin UP! I will have to make another.

So look out for the next one ...........  What papers would you want to see it done in?

I'd love to hear.

If you would like to learn how to make this or would like to purchase any of the products used, please contact me on craftybirdlisa@gmail.com or 07823883769 and I will be pleased to help you.
